In May 2016, Derrick Broze started conceptualizing a homesteading project in Texas that later evolved into The Conscious Agora – an intentional community based on permaculture principles, individual liberty, and mindfulness. This community aimed to offer an alternative lifestyle to those looking to break free from the constraints of modern society. However, in 2020, Derrick and Miriam Gomez redirected their focus towards creating the community in the mountains of Michoacán, Mexico. The Conscious Agora project represents Derrick’s commitment to promoting alternative ways of living and building intentional communities that prioritize individual liberty and self-sufficiency. By creating such communities, Derrick hopes to inspire others to take control of their lives and build a better future for themselves and their communities. Learn More Here
