One hundred years have passed since Turkey began its genocide against the Armenian, Assyrian, and Greek minorities in the Ottoman Empire. Between 1915 and 1922, over three million people were killed, by forced marches into the desert with little to no food and water, mass executions, and deliberate sinking of refugee ships . Yet for some reason, the US government continues to deny a genocide happened. Why is this?
The most common reason cited is the US and Turkish governments are currently allied, and the US does not want to “upset” Turkey. Yet this is a poor excuse. For example, both the US and German governments recognize that the Nazis committed genocide, and that fact has not led to an icing in relations. In addition to the Holocaust, the US government recognizes the Holodomor as genocide.
Perhaps there is a deeper and darker reason. Anyone who has studied history understands the US government is guilty of aiding, abetting, and committing genocide throughout its history.
The US government began by continuing the genocide of the indigenous people of the Americas, that not only was the longest in duration, but also the largest in terms of a body count. Continuing it’s reign of terror, the US government went to crush a rebellion in the recently “acquired” Philippines. In what is considered “the first Vietnam,” over 1 million people were killed, primarily civilians. In World War Two, the US military, along with essentially every other military and guerrilla force involved deliberately targeted civilians, and also raped hundreds of thousands of women and children. In addition, the US government remained silent as the British government deliberately starved millions of people to death in India, and Soviet Union and its puppets in Eastern and Central Europe forcibly expelled 14 million people of Germanic descent, leading to the deaths of as many as 3 million people.
During the “Cold War,” the US government was directly responsible for killing as many as 15 million people, in North Korea, South Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos. The US government also installed and supported a long line of dictators, who had no problem committing genocide, and the US government cheered them on. In addition, the US government armed the Mujaheddin in Afghanistan, first with small arms, and when the Soviet military began to have some success, gave anti aircraft weapons to the fighters, in order to keep the killing going. The US also armed both sides of the Iran Iraq War, including giving chemical weapons to Iraq, and even helped them to use those weapons.
The US er I mean the UN then placed severe economic sanctions on Iraq after the invasion of Kuwait, and then proceeded to bomb Iraq, and continue the sanctions for another decade, killing at least a million people, while Saddam Hussein and his cronies lived in palaces and mansions. The US government also helped to spark nearly a decade of civil wars in the Balkans, and even joined in the killing for “humanitarian purposes,” targeting high value military targets such as the maternity ward of a Belgrade Hospital, houses, and refugees.
Following the American, Saudi, and Israeli joint false flag attack on September 11, 2001, the US government began a “War on Terror/Bringing Freedom and Democracy” that has killed no less than 1.3 million people and likely much more. The US government in addition waves the pom poms whenever Israel decides to carpet bomb the Palestinians, after a teenager launches a bottle rocket into a pile of dirt.
Excuse me while I vomit in disgust at the self declared “leader of the free world.”
